TOPIC: Apple Valley Community Crime Prevention Association
The Apple Valley Community Crime Prevention Association (AVCCPA) is embarking on its inaugural fundraising campaign, the Apple Valley Police Department Staff Wellness Campaign. Their goal is to raise $42,000 to outfit the Wellness Center in the new police garage with fitness and recovery equipment for police department staff. This will be a tremendous benefit to the staff and will aid in retention and recruiting for our police department.
Ground is breaking June 13 at this new facility, located at 14325 Flagstaff Avenue and fundraising efforts are in full swing. The AVCCPA is seeking sponsorships for this campaign. All sponsors receive Logo recognition on AVCCPA social media and website. Platinum sponsors will be recognized by AVCCPA with a donor event or sponsorship plaque.
Lynn Jesh is a 10-year resident of Apple Valley and President of AVCCPA. Working full time for U. S. Bank corporate in Minneapolis, Lynn is the mother of a Hennepin County Sheriff's Deputy. She became involved with the AVCCPA to fulfill her desire to support local law enforcement and to make a difference in the community.

All fines collected will be used to support local organizations such as 360 Communities, The Open Door, MOMS, etc.
For the meeting of June 19, 2024 there are 46 cards and 3 Jokers. The pot stands at $119.00. Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $3 for 5 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.
