What's New This Week!

SPEAKER: Deputy Chief Greg Dahlstrom

TOPIC: Law Enforcement United Bike Ride

Deputy Chief Greg Dahlstrom has been a dedicated member of the City of Apple Valley Police Department since 2005. As a vital part of the department’s leadership team, Greg collaborates closely with Chief Nick Francis, contributing significantly to organizational operations, oversight, and strategic planning. Beyond his official responsibilities, he is deeply involved with Law Enforcement United, participating in their annual bike ride—a demanding multi-day event that pays tribute to fallen officers and supports survivor families.

This year, Greg and six fellow Apple Valley Police department members undertook an inspiring 250-mile journey to Washington, DC, honoring law enforcement professionals who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Greg’s commitment to the law enforcement community shines through his ongoing participation in this event, reflecting his passion for preserving the legacy and providing support to families affected by loss.

The Apple Valley Rotary Club generously aided the team’s efforts this year with a $1,000 grant. During his presentation, Greg will share insights about the Law Enforcement United bike ride, the impact it has on participants and survivor families, and the significance of the Rotary Club’s support.

Weekly RedApple Update

For the meeting of June 3, 2026 there are 13 cards and 1 Jokers. The pot stands at $589.00. Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $3 for 5 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot.  If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot.  If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.  Congratulations Scott Ramsdale for drawing the Ace of Hearts, Josh Clark for drawing the Ace of Diamonds and Brian Bessler for drawing the Ace of Clubs.  They will be guaranteed 1/4 of the pot!
