Children Book Drive Heroes

Thank you to the energetic and well-organized Rotarians and friends who raced to be the first buyers of 50 bags of children’s books at the Annual St. John’s Sale in Savage. Yes, 50 bags of children’s books stuffed in a record twenty minutes! These same books will be distributed to children who do not have books in their homes in October at the end of our Book Drive. Thank you also to Linda Engelken and the Presbyterian Homes for storing our books for us this year. And to all the Apple Valley Rotarians who continues to care – thank you!

Weekly Raffle Update

For the meeting of June 26, 2019 there are 11 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $946! Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again. CONGRATULATIONS TASHA WELLS for drawing the Ace of Clubs, STEVE MOORE for drawing the Ace of Diamonds, and JUSTIN BURLESON for drawing the Ace of Hearts. Each guaranteed 1/4 of the pot!
