What's New This Week!

SPEAKER: Dave and Debbie Andrews

TOPIC: Joseph's Coat

Joseph's Coat in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is a free store that provides clothing, hygiene supplies, and some household items to people in need, operating with dignity and respect. It relies on donations, accepting new or gently used, clean, and repairable items.

Their Mission

In fulfilling its mission as a free store providing goods and service to those in need within an environment of dignity and respect, Joseph’s Coat maintains an inclusive philosophy toward people of all ages, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, abilities and challenges. The organization offers essential support to marginalized members of our community: persons experiencing homelessness, living below the poverty line, coping with joblessness, transitioning from incarceration, battling chemical addictions, and managing mental health challenges.

Joseph’s Coat provides a welcoming environment where the dignity of each person who comes through its doors is acknowledged and affirmed. We strive to foster a sense of community between those facing hardship and our volunteers and donors who are the strength and energy of Joseph’s Coat.

Weekly RedApple Update

For the meeting of May 13, 2026 there are 15 cards and 1 Jokers. The pot stands at $552.00. Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $3 for 5 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot.  If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot.  If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.  Congratulations Josh Clark for drawing the Ace of Diamonds and Brian Bessler for drawing the Ace of Clubs.  They will be guaranteed 1/4 of the pot!
