What's New This Week!

SPEAKER: Shannon Watson, Founder and Executive Director

TOPIC:  Majority in the Middle

Shannon Watson is the Founder and Executive Director of Majority in the Middle, a civic organization aimed at finding solutions to structural partisanship and providing a space for those who feel unrepresented by political extremes.  She has also served in policy and public affairs roles for the Medical Alley Association, St. Paul Area Chamber, U.S. Bank, the Minnesota Senate, and the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Shannon has 20+ years of experience in electoral politics, advising candidates and working on campaigns on both sides of the aisle.  She holds a bachelor's degree in English, Theatre, and Psychology from Wichita State University and a master's degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Shannon will share the inspiration behind her organization, the current state of political polarization in the US, and the impact it has on businesses and communities.  She includes suggestions on what you can do about it as well.
