A Gustavus Adolphus College graduate, Jacob Koshiol, joined the field team as a District Executive with Northern Star Scouting, Boy Scouts of America, in June of this year, marking officially 5 months of being in scouting.

A Minnesota native, growing up homeschooled in the small town of Paynesville, Jacob did not have much community involvement.  However, he grew up around his dad's nonprofit youth organization, “Crow River Trail Guards,” and now is co-leading trips to the Boundary Waters and white-water rafting, while also helping on the hiring committee, Jacob has built valuable skills for this role."

Jacob plans to speak about some general council updates, including popcorn sales, adventure classroom, "Eagle Nesting", Polar Camp, fall day camps, and district youth membership numbers.
